Mushroom supplements haven't always been as hot as they are today. Brands like Host Defense led the way by delivering exceptional quality with in-depth education. Only the latter became less effective as their audience grew more diverse. They needed a new approach.

How do you speak to would-be mycologists who crave the details without alienating a wider audience?

I pitched a radical departure from our past work. Collaborating with our animator, we adopted a cartoon-like style to make our audience feel at ease as they learned. The story, while still in-depth, used approachable language. Our success on this project lead to a series of animated shorts introducing different mushrooms in their catalog.
